Here's to Week 2 of
Cooper's Covid-19 coping....
A couple late night walks
{no one is around}
and a Sunday morning walk with the hubs...
{also a good time...cuz no one is out!}
One of our favorite Sunday meals...
You can boil the chicken
or crockpot it...
serve it over rice...
My neighbor, on a neighboring street,
was outside playing
his bagpipes Sunday evening.
We went out for a listen.
There is something about the bagpipes
that tugs at my heart.
ππππ
On Sunday the hubs and Iwatched this really great show.
We have way different
tastes in movies. haha
But we do both enjoy a good
WWarII movie.
Kid run down....
Kyleigh and Hannah had to
isolate themselves
at their place together for almost two
days until Kyleigh's co-worker's mother in law,
who was icky sick, got her Covid-19 test back.
Which thankfully came back negative.
It's a looong story... that I won't get into
all the details
BUT it did cause a bit of grief and worry
on our end.
on our end.
{People.. just don't go on vacations out of state
with extended family
when there is a pandemic going on....
and then show up for work to spread your germs.
Seriously no one who is holed up in their
house trying to save the human race wants
to see anyone's travel photos on social media. It just shows
what an irresponsible and selfish human being you are.}
The girls would take turns
running down food, or
treats or immune gummies and
leave on their stairs..
leave on their stairs..

*****
HANNAH
She welcomed home {from 6 feet}
her best friend
from her mission in Ecuador.
{a year early}
She was in tears... so happy to see her.
π
Hannah's place of employment
has been turned
has been turned
over to the Red Cross so she is unemployed
until this all blows over.
She is doing school on line at SLCC.
She's getting good at doing gel nails.
*****
KATE
Kate {and Bing} love to come in my bed
in the morning after the hubs
has gotten up to get ready for work.
We sometimes watch part of a B of M video
or listen to a bit of a book on audio
or fall back sleeeeep.
It's lovely. And one of my favorite
things about this staying at home business.
Kate's teacher gives the class a math
lesson by Zoom every school day at 10:30 a.m.
She has the best teacher!
Kudos to all the teachers...
working so hard behind the scenes
and on screen.
and on screen.
This has got to be tuff on all of them.
Our Spring Break started Friday
so we have all this
so we have all this
next week to take a breather.
Altho this at-home school stuff
hasn't been THAT bad.
It's not like I have to come up with
any curriculum or be the teacher.
any curriculum or be the teacher.
I generally help, if needed,
with any
with any
writing, editing, vocab,
mountain language or art.
mountain language or art.
The hubs, I try to leave
math and any science to him.
math and any science to him.
And sometimes we are still doing
school work really late
school work really late
at night which is nothing new.
π
{as of right now we will be doing on line learning
til May 1st}
Kate donated some of her elastic
for making Barbie clothes
to a home health nurse in our ward.
The nurses are out of masks!!!
π·
And need to make their own,
but they can't find
this elastic anywhere.
So a call went out....
She made this painting for a school
assignment this week.
What is one of your favorite things to do?
Bake!
*****
ME
Well, hello there car!
I think I went a week without driving.
I went to the pharmacy for my dad
and picked up an online grocery order.
It's taking 5 days now to get your groceries
from the time you order.
I ordered at 1:15 on Friday,
the next available pick up time
is noon on Wed.
Crazy!
Chill'in with Bing in one of myfavorite spots...
I'm such a homebody and
pretty introverted
so this life style thrust upon us
is not killing me.
And I love the kids home.
99.9% of the time. HA!
{I truly feel sorry for those that
don't, cuz I can imagine how tuff
that would be dealing with
rambunctiousness 24/7}
I have pretty calm kids.
I just don't like the worry
of a loved one getting
sick. Dying?
And how long and bad is this
gonna get?
I don't know what germs
Jaren brings home from the
hospital each day.. so that is a tad
concerning.
So I think mentally that's
the thing most taxing for me
right now. And the dang 383
aftershocks from the quake.
π³ Over it!
When I get a bit restless or
feel unproductive
I try and clean or organize
something simple.
On this day it was my make up.
I also
try getting ready for the day.
It might take me half the day to do it, but
getting dressed, make up and hair done
always makes me feel better.
AND I'm still intermittent fasting
throughout all of this craziness...
16-19 hours everyday.
I delay, don't deny.
Thank goodness or else I'd probably be
eating or grazing all day being home all day.
It's nice to feel like I have control
over something
during this unprecedented time.
*****KYLEIGH
She is busy with school on-line.
Even her dance classes are on-line.
Which she says is pretty hysterical
dancing by her lonesome in front
of her laptop.
The governor issued not a lockdown,
but a "Stay at Home, Be Safe"
order on Friday. So unless
you are an essential worker, or out to
get groceries, medicine, exercise,
or take out...you could get in trouble
so.. Stay Home. He encouraged Utahans
to get take out 3 times a week to help
the restaurants and food industry.
Kyleigh said it best.
"My family has no problem keeping
your expectations sir."
{altho even getting take out makes
me a tad nervous π³}
Kyleigh went with me to welcome home
a neighbor boy from his mission
in South Africa.
We yelled and waved
and banged pots and pans
as they drove down the street!

*****
The girls and I started a fun thingthis past week so the kiddos have
a little something to look forward to.
I did this in the summer with
Kate where each week we had a theme.
This week we celebrated Disney.
Each day we did something simple.
One night we had Mickey Head
shaped pancakes.
One night I read a Disney fairytale
to Kate.
Another day we started a Disney puzzle.
Danced to Disney music.
Got an Iceberg shake and watched Cinderella
another evening.
Mine and Hannah's fav!
Kate made a Rapuntzel puppet.
One night Kyleigh, Kate and I
played Disney Monopoly. With this by my side.
π
Friday night we had
a family game of Kahoot!
I created 30 questions from
our (15) trips to Disneyland
over the years to see who
remembered what from
certain trips...It was great fun!
Emmsie won!
Some of us watched a little Vintage Disney from the 50's.
Alice in Wonderland
Tea Party.
Kate, Brie and I made the cake.
Kate is so good at buttering those
cake pans and using parchment
paper. The cakes come out so good!
We went a little non British
and served grilled cheese and
tomato basil soup!
*****
Here are some of my
favorite pics and memes
from this week!
The hubs sent me this pic
{from work} of the line
at Costco one early morning this week.
"We came to work for you.
Please stay home for us."
Can you imagine all these
planes full of missionaries
returning home.
Such a happy occasion, yet sad and eerie too.
My best friend's son returned home from
Ethiopia Tuesday night.
She was giving me front row coverage
of what was going down at the airport.
Fascinating.
Enjoy these funnies!!!!
